Fitting the passenger airbagdeactivation switch

WARNING:

If you need to fit a child restraint ona seat protected by an operationalairbag in front of it, have apassenger airbag deactivation switchfitted. Ask your dealer for furtherinformation.

Note: The key switch is located in theglove compartment with an airbagdeactivation lamp in the instrument panel.

If the airbag warning lamp illuminates orflashes when you are driving, this indicatesa malfunction. See Warning lamps andindicators. Remove the childrestraint and have the system checkedimmediately.

Turn the switch to position A.

When you switch the ignition on, checkthat the passenger airbag deactivationwarning lamp illuminates.

Enabling the passenger airbag
