The sunroof controls are mounted between the dome/reading lights.

WARNING:

• Never leave children in a vehicle with the key inthe ignition switch. Occupants, particularly unattendedchildren, can become entrapped by thepower sunroof while operating the power sunroofswitch. Such entrapment may result in seriousinjury or death.

• In an accident, there is greater risk of beingthrown from a vehicle with an open sunroof. Youcould also be seriously injured or killed. Alwaysfasten your seat belt properly and make sure allpassengers are properly secured too.

• Do not allow small children to operate the sunroof.

Never allow your fingers, other body parts, orany object to project through the sunroof opening.

Injury may result.

Sunroof Operation

Opening Sunroof Manually

Press the switch rearward and hold, and the sunroof willopen automatically from any position. The sunroof willopen fully, then stop automatically. During this operation,any release of the sunroof switch will stop thesunroof.

Opening Sunroof — Express

Press the switch rearward and release, and the sunroofwill open automatically from any position. The sunroofwill open fully, then stop automatically. This is called“Express Open”. During Express Open operation, anymovement of the sunroof switch will stop the sunroof.

Closing Sunroof Manually

To close the sunroof from an open or vent position, pressand hold the switch forward. The sunroof will close fullyand stop automatically. Release the switch to stop sunrooftravel at any point.

Venting Sunroof — Express

Press and release the “Vent” button, the sunroof willopen to the vent position. This is called “Express Vent”.

Closing Sunroof — Express

Press the switch forward and release, the sunroof willclose automatically from any position. The sunroof willclose fully, then stop automatically. This is called “ExpressClose”. During Express Close operation, any movementof the sunroof switch will stop the sunroof.

Auto Sunroof Express With Anti-PinchProtection — If Equipped

During express closing, anytime an obstacle that restrictsglass movement is detected, the motor will stop andreverse travel to avoid pinching the object.

Sunshade Operation

The sunshade can be opened manually. However, thesunshade will open automatically as the sunroof opens.

NOTE: The sunshade cannot be closed if the sunroof isopen.

Wind Buffeting

Wind buffeting can be described as the perception ofpressure on the ears or a helicopter-type sound in theears. Your vehicle may exhibit wind buffeting with thewindows down, or the sunroof (if so equipped) in certainopen or partially open positions. This is a normal occurrenceand can be minimized. If the buffeting occurs withthe rear windows open, then open the front and rearwindows together to minimize the buffeting. If thebuffeting occurs with the sunroof open, adjust the sunroofopening to minimize the buffeting.

Sunroof Maintenance

Use only a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth to cleanthe glass panel.

Ignition Off Operation

For vehicles not equipped with the Electronic VehicleInformation Center (EVIC), the power sunroof switchwill remain active for 45 seconds after the ignition switchis turned OFF. Opening either front door will cancel thisfeature.

For vehicles equipped with the EVIC, the power sunroofswitch will remain active for up to 10 minutes after theignition switch is turned OFF. Opening either front doorwill cancel this feature. The time is programmable. Referto “Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)/Personal Settings (Customer-Programmable Features)” in“Understanding Your Instrument Panel” for furtherinformation.
